Shoot sans compromise with Panasonic HDC-HS100 !
Introduction: A new age of compactness and portability was heralded by the Panasonic with its new range of camcorders that leave no place for trimmings and other unnecessary additions which might eat up the space on the camcorder. Conventional CCD has been replaced by 3 CMOS sensor so as to give leverage to its low light performance. No review of Panasonic HDC-HS100 is complete without mentioning its cousin Panasonic HDC-SD100 which also sports the same kind of 3 CMOS sensors like this one.
Features: Panasonic understands the necessity of manual controls even in dire automated devices; it has given place to a multifunction manual ring that allows you to have your say in zoom, focus and exposure settings which is a great hit with the professionals. Several other controls like joystick and toggle buttons have also been chopped in size to give that compact look to the camcorder and we must say that they have succeeded greatly in this regard.
Pros:
-
True to its Full HD tag, highest resolution of 1920 x 1080 is possible with this camcorder
-
The viewfinder is equipped with a diopter for the convenience of the people who use spectacles for viewing.
-
With its 60GB hard disk you can enjoy recording more than 7 hours of quality footage in a single go.
Cons:
-
The position of the flash hinders the user from focusing the entire length and thus stops you from enjoying the full 360 degree view.
-
The screw holes scattered over the device’s body make it look boring and uncouth.
-
Positioning of USB port, HDMI output and DC jack within the battery compartment causes great inconvenience while importing the clips. You will have to use an external power adapter to overcome this problem.
Pricing Range: Bring home the portable Panasonic HD camcorder by paying $1,019.95 - $1,232.83!
Final Verdict: If you want to see beyond colors in your pictures & videos then Panasonic HDC-HS100 is the perfect choice for you. Feel the textures, colors and details like never before with HDC-HS100. Its features, price and specifications are in line with one another making it one of the sought after camcorders from Panasonic.
